"With the completion of the Gymnasium Roof Upgrade at Ecole Oceane in Nanaimo, another project with your company as the General Contractor has come to a successful conclusion. Your innovative approach for the placement of the roof trusses proved to be much less disruptive to the building structure. The project was completed on budget and within a very short time frame. It was my pleasure to again be the overall project manager where your company provided the general construction services. Your up-front and straightforward approach results in a great working relationship with clients and consultants alike. Previous projects where I enjoyed working with you included the initial phases for the Rotary Field House with the City of Nanaimo as client, cafeteria addition and renovations for Malaspina University College, the new building for the Royal Canadian Legion in Squamish, and the Fluid Dynamics Laboratory for Bamfield Marine Science Centre, to name just a few. I'm looking forward to be involved in upcoming projects with your company in the near future and would be happy to comment positively on any projects in which you plan to be involved."

"W.J. Murphy Contracting Ltd. were the lowest bidder out of eleven (11) bids received for construction of a 4,300 ft2 health centre for Homalco First Nation in Campbell River, BC. The project was fully funded by Health Canada with their review and monitoring involved throughout the entire construction process. We found W.J. Murphy Contracting Ltd. to be good team players, responsive to our comments, reliable, and fair in the values of extras and credits without any attempts for gouging the project's budgets. Their cooperation with us greatly contributed to a successful project delivery, and we would welcome the opportunity to work with them again in the future. Therefore, we do not hesitate to recommend them as contractors to a third party on another project of a similar scope and complexity."

Murphy Contracting Ltd. to be responsible and capable of completing this project in a professional and timely manner. Their field personnel have interacted well with the Ahousaht administration and. community and they have employed Band members wherever possible during the project. We are also working with W.J. "The Taylor Building was built in the late 1950s and as any project involving older buildings, this project did have its share of unforeseen existing site conditions and challenges but thankfully for PWGSC, W.J. Murphy Contracting Ltd. and their team of sub-contractors, were always forthcoming with solutions by being proactive while managing their construction site. All along this project, lots of small changes and fit-up demands were also requested in order to accommodate DFO scientists for whom the new spaces were being built, and again, W.J. Murphy Contracting Ltd. were excellent at providing ideas and working with our client (DFO) to provide the best practical solutions. W. J. Murphy Contracting Ltd. also had to work with a very tight schedule because of the type of funding involved and did an excellent job at responding to all the necessary change orders with reasonable pricing, in a timely matter, and they completed the project successfully and to everyone's satisfaction. The final contract price was $1,358,356. I personally look forward to working again with W.J. Murphy Contracting Ltd. on future projects and highly recommend them if you are looking for a contractor that is easy to work with, is proactive, will help you find practical solutions and who delivers a high quality of work."
